Title: Boids and recap of convo w/ James
Post by: Agent C on March 30, 2009, 12:43:28 am
First the recap -

me: Why is my ilda test pattern palette screwy when I use this 255 color standard palette?

James: there are two standard palettes - 62 color and 255 color.  BTW, ILDA sucks.

me: Ok, thanks.  I turn everything into 45 bit color anyway so nahn.

On to the boids.  Since I can support continuously calculated laser shapes in my program via the LaserShape class, I have decided to make some laser Boids.  Please see http://www.red3d.com/cwr/boids/ (http://www.red3d.com/cwr/boids/).

ILDA doesn't suck at all in practical concept and application.

What sucks is the couple of people in ILDA who are manipulating the market of new development by maliciously mismanaging the state of the ILDA standard file format extension.

James.  :)
