You could scan fast enough to watch TV on your laser...

+/- 150V!

Electrostatic scanners!

Kinda' pricy!

Quote
High Speed Point-To-Point Optical Beam Scanning
The major advantage of our proprietary gimbal-less design is the capability to scan optical beams at equally high speeds in both axes. A typical device with a 0.8 mm diameter-sized micromirror achieves angular beam scanning of up to 500 rad/s and has first resonant frequency in both axes above 4 kHz. Large angle step response settling times of <100 µs have been demonstrated on devices with micromirrors up to 0.8 mm in diameter. Devices with 2.0mm diameter mirrors can achieve large angle step settling times of <2ms

Anyone got a calculator handy?

"first resonant frequency in both axes above 4 kHz"

I think that compares to electromagnetic scanners at about 2.4KHz or less.

"0.8 mm diameter-sized micromirror"

However electromagnetic scanners move much larger mirrors!

Try putting 4kHz in a conventional scanner at a decent level- make sure to have a fire extinguisher and safety goggles handy.

These assemblies may have slight scratches and or slight problems as listed on some of them by the QC Dept. We have no info on these and no way of testing them so we are selling them "AS IS" no returns. The original cost was hundreds of dollars each.

i have a wish list on goldmine over 8 pages long.. LOL

Yet still havent ordered anything from them...

I am curious about there 25.00 dollar beam splitter cubes....
http://www.goldmine-elec-products.com/prodinfo.asp?number=G16349

and this:

Laser Prism Lens - We aren't sure exactly what this is but it consists of 2 28mm octagon shaped prisms glued face to face. We were told it splits certain laser beams. The housing is about 45mm (L) x 33mm (Dia.). It has several windows (holes) on the side and is threaded on one end. Sorry no other data or info available. Prisms mounted in metal holder.

and getting some of these to make my own LED pin spots

So many projects... so little time...

It's been years, but I have ordered stuff from these guys on several occasions.

I guess you need to know that a lot of this stuff was unwanted for some reason. A lot of it is used. The used stuff is usually obvious. It also usually works OK. The new stuff is usually defective in some way. Kinda' like the stuff in the bin where no-esc works. Sometimes it's OK. Sometimes it's truly dumpster material. Way back in the day when blue LEDs were going for >= $3 each, I got a bag of blues from them. I think I paid $72 for a bag of LEDs. Technically, they were blue LEDs. If you turned out all the lights and looked directly at the die through the dome of the LED, you could see a tiny glow. In normal room light... nothing. They had to know this. I also got a bunch of line lump power supplies to light LED projects. Out of about a dozen or more, one or two of them still work. They do, however offer some stuff that you simply will not find anywhere else; and in some cases, you'll never see again in your life.

They had a sale on those little hand held fl tube black lights. I paid like $3 each for a bunch of them. That was a deal! Those things are fantastic for a quick blast of UV.
