DACs / Auto gain adjustment?

Hi, I have one o the new L shaped sound cards. I have it all connected up and working, but ...

I have "System input" set to 8 channels, and Analog output set to 6 speakers. Volume is up max, EQ is default etc. Nothing else is changed.

However, the scanned output is continuously vibrating (Mainly near the edges)

I am assuming this is the gain correction thing in the sound card, but I'm not sure what to do about it. If I set "System output" to 6 channels, I get a much smaller scan angle, but it seems to fix the vibrating thing.

Anyone got some things I can try to get rid of the annoying vibrating edges?

And Now For Something Completely Different! / SDL?

I have this "game" ( google "The Powder Toy"), and it is based on SDL (Just like laserboy for windows).

What I wanna know, is if there is any way to make the window bigger? I think I remember there was a feature that came with laserboy that let you resize the window. Any idea's?

DACs / The HakDAC

Well, after a long discussion over IRC, BlueFusion and I have come up with an idea for a _relatively_ simple DAC with 2 +/-5v differential outputs, and 6 0-5v outputs, that could possibly be used with any software supporting the Moncha DAC, including possibly the Moncha software itself.

It's still in it's very early stages, but once we get around to it, it should be a rather inexpensive, but good way to create a DAC. I'll keep you guys informed as we move along

DACs / How to wire the ILDA connector?

Heya's, i've got the sound card DAC and my DT25's. Now one thing I havent been able to get my head around, is the galvo's have a differential input, but  the sound card only has a single ended output.

How do you guys wire your DB25 connectors to the DAC? I have a Moncha DAC here that Dave has loaned to me, but as you can guess, it's not mine to keep, so i need to get my sound card DAC working. I connected DAC1 + output to + input on the galvo's, DAC1GND to the galvo ground, and not connect anything to the -. It works, but it makes it look like my scanner tuning is off, and I know it's not, because it works fine with Moncha.

Help please

Yea, i'm here now 

Anyways, most of you know me from PL or LPF anyway. Basically, I have some scanpro 20's, a sound card DAC, and software 

I am currently helping out with the Spaghetti users group, and also doin some documentation on it 

Nice to see a forum aimed more at hobbyists, where "Pangolin is the best" isn't posted in every thread regarding other DAC's/software
