Agitate some mercury and reflect your laser off of the rippling surface.  The effect is very cool.  Almost like fire.

*WARNING*  Mercury is a dangerous substance.  Please know what you are doing before messing with mercury.  You need to wear protective gear while handling mercury.

Some rocks crystals are really neat!

Quartz can do some cool stuff.

Clear Calcite is fluorescent with a visible discharge with BluRay!

It lights up red-orange and glows for just a bit after excited.

I showed the orange to 300EVIL and he discovered that it has an "afterlife".

I bet there are others that have not been explored or reported.

James.  :)

BTW Don't you think this should be in LaserBoy Forum > Forum > Hardware > Optics > Color ? ???

........or at least LaserBoy Forum > Forum > Hardware > Optics > Other ? ???

Lumia, anyone ? ???

Fluorescence... Phosphorescence..... ? ???

Pure visual hallucinations.... ? ???

Dreams ...... ? ???

I think it's time for me to go to bed now!

Good Night!  ;D

I'm going to try that with red green & blue all at different angles. Maybe have the red and green enter opposite each other.

Are you telling me that you super-glued glass mirrors, chopsticks and 3.5" floppy disks together to make that?

Now I'm really impressed.  ;D

I absolutely LOVE alternate uses of highly engineered objects or materials in art.

That needs to go to the Guggenheim!
