neat.. so is the data "buffered" in memory? and what happens if the computer starts doing a virus scan durring a show. is there a buffer overrun situation?

There is a buffer when it is streamed.  I don't know what will happen if you do a virus scan while playing a show.  It depends on if the virus scan goes crazy with your resources or not.  I have seen enterprise McAfee maxing out the CPU when writing a lot of data to an XML.  I don't have virus scanners on my computer because they do more harm than good.

So when do you think you'll be ready for some Beta testing?

ok well that was just a hypothetical.. my point is what happens if the buffer is not getting filled fast enough.

There might be some frame skipping but the show will go on.

Seriously, man!

What happens if you try to compile the code for LaserBoy while your displaying a Spaghetti show?  ;D

Since Noodle Bug is intended to be a drawing app, consider adding support for an extra device
beyond just a mouse (like a game joystick or something) to make the chore of drawing easier, or
at least more engaging. I expect there is a real demand for a drawing app that's more fun than a
root canal to use. AgentC uses MIDI gear to control some of his apps.

i think the mouse/tablet interface is standard for drawing.. drawing with a joystick is silly. corel draw gets by just fine with mouse/tablet support.
