I thought you were going to use the big honkin' heat sync as your optics table.

I think I would probably try to mount everything on those and make a box. Use those nice square stock posts in the corners. Flip another piece of the heat sync fins-up and make the top of the box. Screw Aluminum panels into the outside row of fins on both sides. You can put all your power and electronics under the top heat sync.

I was told that the large heat sink was not perfectly flat due to the machining... I am hoping my friend is on nights this weekend and I can get his help drilling more holes/building the box.

Or I just may make a small custom heat sink and try to use this neat project box for this laser.... Save the big heat sink for the next one I will end up building ...

I don't think it needs to be perfectly flat. It just needs to be stable and very stiff. That's what adjustments are for!
