I'm using the wav writer plugin of synth library.  I suppose I can just do it by hand.  Here is there headers section from a hex editor

52 49 46 46 28 16 a9 00 57 41 56 45 66 6d 74 20 10 00 00 00 01 00 06 00 30 75 00 00 40 7e 05 00 0c 00 10 00 64 61 74 61

with the last 8 bytes being "data" and the rest is the data section

Well that should tell us the whole story.

BTW, There are some variations on the wave file format that Dean pointed out.

Unfortunately, LaserBoy does not know how to read some of the arrangements that might be found in a wave file.

The good news is that it seems to be reasonably well documented.

I'm pretty sure if I spent some time with Audacity or GoldWAVE I could split up the wave you made and put it back together into a 6 channel wave with LaserBoy.

I've just been pretty blown away trying to get LaserBoy put back together in a way that makes more sense.

Check this out.

This is what I get when I fiddle with it a bit.

It's 3D because there are very few points per frame so I grabbed 400 for each frame and spread them out in Z in the order that they would be drawn.

Open it in LaserBoy and rotate your vire a little off axis (press and hold the 4 key).

Awesome - so glad it works for you.  It's funny that is was an 11M wav, a 3M ild file, and about 20 lines of code.
How do the colors look?

Getting off to a good start.  Can you make the 'boids' little circles instead of single dots?  Also make them a little more loosely-knit?
looking forward to trying it out.

I can make them whatever shape I want now.  I had to extend my laser segment class to include a translation and rotation method first, otherwise it would have been a pain.  As soon as I finish tidying up the new methods and fields mentioned in the other post I'll probably make the boids little triangles
