Spaghetti short - space station docking (2001 ASO style) 3D 30k
« on: January 31, 2009, 02:05:16 am »
(cross post with PL)

Just ildaswap uploaded a short test sequence generated from a software project I'm working on. /shows/Spaghetti/space_docking_short_30k.zip

Its a short clip of a spaceplane docking to an artificial gravity station in '2001 a Space Odyssey' style.
It's optimized for 30kpps on my 30(32?)k scanners and has a color point offset of 1. Some adjustment of the color point offset may be necessary for your scanners or blanking speed, Spaghetti optimizations are meant to be off for proper display.
let me know what you think...

The show won't load due to a bug in Spaghetti.  I never tested shows with no audio files so I missed that one.  I uploaded a version (1.8.0.1) that fixes this.

The animation looks nice and smooth.  I haven't tried it on my scanner but when I play it back in preview there is a lot of flicker in some the line segments.  Is that intended or is Spaghetti messing things up somehow?

It loaded for me, Spaghetti gave a black screen but when you hit 'play' it went fine.  There is flicker when you view it on the computer because of the point offset built in.  When you scan it, it's not there (at least on mine).

Not yet.  I'm doing some work to my scanner so it is OOC at the moment.  I'm interested in trying it, though.

I tried this, then my ISP shat itself, so I couldn't report, but I also came across the bug that wouldn't let it load.

First post here, and i'm assuming Hyena is Gary?

Nice to have a forum more dedicated to homebuild stuff ;)
