From what I've read on the PL, with all the food and at least four gallons of home brewed beer, it sounds like we should all just take sleeping bags and camp out in the theater!

I don't know if that's legal, but I would sure be into it.

Sleep only as needed!  ;D

There's lots of out-of-the-way space there.

Oh well. Maybe next year.

Hey James! Glad to see your coming to SELEM! It's gonna be awesome this year! Do you plan on staying at the Holiday Inn again? Don't forget to get the PL discount. Also, I arranged the new "Party Room" at the holiday inn meeting room so we don't have to annoy my neighbors. We have the whole place to ourselves every night.

Yes. I am at the Inn. Good planning on the party room! That is fantastic!  ;D

I bet we can still keep the neighbors up!  >:D

I've got some really cool stuff to show off this year.

That is... if I can get it to NC, set it up and get it to work!

Last year was a near catastrophe. My main system with the echo Laylay was a total crap out. If I didn't have my laptop and the modified USB sound card DAC I made for buffo, I would have had nothing!

I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys again.

I'll try to give you a call in the next couple days.

As far as ILDA. I installed a DB25 connector on the side of my projector with the standard ILDA pinout. I took your advice and used a A/B switch to select a USB sopurce or ILDA source. I was hoping to join in on the multi projector beam shows at SELEM.

This is gearing up to be a great trip.

I have heard some rumors about ILDA signal splitters and such that might be there for us poor folks who don't have our controllers all synched up with Ethernet.  %)

I just had a neat idea for a project!

Someone should get 5 nice little needle meter movements and make a meter bridge box that reads 2 AC voltages (X, Y) and 3 DC voltages (r, g, b) all at the same time. That way you could quickly plug an ILDA signal cable into it, play a full-scale, white circle wave, and see if all channels are in spec, before you plug it into a real laser projector! You could also use it in pass-through mode.
