Topic: Days before SELEM !!!

I wasn't going to bring up the Steve incident.  I was a bit surprised and unsurprised by it at the same time.  It's interesting to compare how people are in real life vs on forums.  It didn't bother me, though.  Not coming from him.

Yea, I wish we could have talked more.  Next time, I suppose.

Chris (LaserJock) got me really motivated to work on Spaghetti.  What comes next is going to be totally cool.  I plan on bringing THREE projectors to the next SELEM and they will all be simultaneously controlled by Spaghetti.  Not only that, but lumia wheels, and strobe lights too!

I had a great time as well.

This year was a lot easier in every way because I had been there before.

I was very glad to see so many familiar faces and know their names. I also met some new people that I sure would like to meet again.

There is no doubt that this event draws a very rare and purified group of people.

I would like to thank Buffo for organizing the event, making sure that I knew it was OK for me to come, and being totally cool about all-of-that in general. ..... Oh yeah, and the good home brew too!

I'd also like to thank aldeberan for caring enough about this stuff to earn -50mW !!! I hope we get a lot more opportunities to talk in person.

Had several nice conversations with green nebula. He kept saying "to spite our differences..." I'm not really sure we have any.

Super special thanks to 300EVIL, Platinum and ImageLight, just for being there. You guys are the coolest.

Thanks to Dean for putting good looking stuff into my laser projector and having a big enough car.

I really wish the few of us were not so mixed in with the rest of them. I would liked to have had much clearer commutations between us while we were there in person. There is SO MUCH technology that exists on a plane that ALL OF US can gain from. And you just can't see it from "over there".

Lazerjock, with the James Bond projector and large bottle of optics cleaner. What can I say? Nifty and warming!

From the little bit of a demo that I saw by drlava, I have to say.... "Hey! ... Stop that! .. Who said you could come up with all that cool stuff?"

I wish there was more time to do this kind of small group
learning, the weekend is just too short.

My previous post was written as soon as I could get to my main home system. I was very disappointed that Gary left without even talking to anyone. Several people asked, where's Gary? I said, he was right here, but all of his stuff is gone. I feel like we all missed out. I thought you (Gary) would be at the Inn having fun with the rest of us.

I talked to several while I was there.  I had some stuff I wanted to do while I had time.  I grew up in a house about 10 miles from there and hadn't seen it in over 35 yrs.  So, I spent the afternoon going back and seeing it, my old neighborhood, and my elementary school.  It was interesting putting the pieces together.  Especially seeing all of the stuff I had forgotten about and seeing how the things I remembered had changed.  I almost went back to the SELEM when I was done looking around but the thought of Steve Roberts and Company kept me from it.

I didn't know about a Steve incident until now, truely sad to hear.  We should all keep together as I'm sure there is a lot of unexplored territory and cool ideas yet to find.  I have a few that will be worked on when possible.  If only Spaghetti were written in the same language as Laserboy and ILD SOS!
