RB DIY Green house light?

Anyone have a good schematic or plan for building a nice LED Red/Blue tomato growing light fixture?

Mom wants to start growing her new strain of cherry japenese cherry tomatoes.. and she has been pricing greenhouse lighting and its really expensive..

I have built several pieces of LED art and I know all about making large arrays and powering them.

Yes I agree.. However doing the research at work... and going to HIGH TIMES would definately cause issues.. LOL... I will check into it though.   Thanks.

There can't be anything to it!

It's pretty obvious why they use red and blue LEDs.

Green light would bounce right off of the plants!

Uhhhhhh, they ARE green!

PS LEDs are not like lasers at all. When you read the wavelength, that is only the peak of a curve of all of the wavelengths around the peak. IOW look at an LED with a diffraction grating. You'll see there is a visible amount of orange or even red in a blue LED so you can bet there is a lot of UV too.

I found some info regarding HID vs LED... HID might be the way to go.

Me too...

Finally got my Test Equipment and Thermal Chamber running correctly tonight.. that only took 5hrs... WHY DO PEOPLE MESS WITH SETTINGS>>>>>>
