What I really like about that box is the fact that it seems to be (almost) perfectly made for the task. I totally get into the idea of picking stuff out of the junk and making something new and useful. It's not recycling. It is re-using. No energy is spent making it and no valuable materials go to the land fill.

I am also very lucky to live within walking distance of Akron Antique Radio where the owner lets me pick out whatever I want from drawers and boxes full of genuine antique knobs and stuff. I just got 10 knobs, all different!

These have a new audio mute switch on the back. In case you play a six channel wave and you get color signal noises coming from the unused channels 7 & 8, you can mute the output so it doesn't go to your speakers.

I also noticed with both of these DACs, Windows has updated something in the XP sound system such that these USB DACs don't have digital gain anymore!

Now you can set the output maser volume and the wave volume all the way to 100% and then set your correction amp gains to +5VDC on the color mod channels and not have to worry about going over +5 on the colors!

Weeeeeeeeee!!!
