BTW Dean, it appears that the extended wave header issue has finally bitten me in the butt. Our dear friend Alec The Destroyer sent me a stereo wave made for XY scope viewing and I can't open it!

  Don't feel like you're alone... Microsoft's MPlayer cannot fully deal with the wave format that THEY CREATED as of late... Fear not, as Windows 7 will fix everything- and if you believe that, I have some prime land in the Lower 9th Ward that you might be interested in!

  Quick response! Single frame ILDA is OK now- I wanted to try opening one in the last 'free' rev of Spaghetti, but the program expired (I should have expected that). Thanks for the warning!!!!

  Z options look better, too.

  Still have the pop problem in X-Y, but I expect you'll nail it soon.

  Next comes dealing with the wavelist format so we can merge audio from waves ripped from MISERABLE MPlayer.

  All I can say is this- call up LB 3/23 with the out-of-box default settings (16fps etc. etc.) and render in.ild to wave.
Call it up in LW 3900 and LISTEN to the X-Y; it sounds 'clean' with no transients. Do the same with the latest rev of LB,
and you'll hear 'cracks' (evidence of transients) in some of the frames not heard in the earlier rev. This has been an 'on
and off' problem with LB revs for awhile, the last few revs were OK until now. For what it's worth, you don't get the problem
when rendering at 0fps.

Ticks do appear at the same time in both x & y, but the magnitudes are different. The magnitudes aren't all that large, but I can pick them out in Cool.

I have just captured three living ticks.

I have them under the microscope now!

I see what it is. Now I just need to figure out why.....

It's inter-frame data. It is not between frames. some of the calculated spans are being written to file twice. This means that a temp segment is not getting cleared before it gets used again.

Weeeeeeeee !!!

CORRECTION:

It is between scans of the same frame!

 Yes, this is why you only hear problems when frames are written repeatedly (non-zero frame rate).
What I don't understand is that the problem was around for a long time, then suddenly disappeared
only to resurface in the lastest rev- but it occurs in more places now. In several older revs, it happened
in only one or two places.

I finally figured out where it was coming from!

It's kinda' complicated, but it has to do with getting from one frame to the next. There is a difference between that and showing the same frame twice. In either case, you need to put a blank line between the end of one frame and the beginning of the next. I was compensating for this in two different ways.

I just found some other dumb stuff. I think I'll wait until Midnight before I release it again.
