Safety Hardware
« on: November 15, 2014, 11:24:39 am »
Hi,

I'm looking into building some safety hardware in my diy projector setup
- (pt-20k) galvo+amp
- pt-trust showcard (only for the ILDA interface)

i noticed there is some header on the driver, which may enable me to tap into the feedback circuit of the amp.

I'm hoping to sample this signal with a uC controller, to switch the laser whenever the mirror is sitting still at some point for X time.

Has someone got any experience/thoughts regarding diy safety circuitry?

I'm afraid at some point one of my galvo's or the pc-app will crash, and my beam will be still but on

That's an interesting idea.

I think there might be something out there.
