We drank some beer, and had a good get-together with no agenda in particular. I liked the laser game demo that Drlava presented.

I had a great time!

It's all about getting to spend time with some really smart, creative people.

As usual, we didn't get to do anywhere near the stuff we would like to have done.

One of these days, I'm going to have to create a "scripted" demo for LaserBoy.

It's so hard to try to pay attention to what I'm doing with LaserBoy and talk about it to other people. LaserBoy requires a pretty solid train-of-thought. If I get distracted, I can get lost pretty easy!

Like I said to everyone that was there... I spend all of my time working on the code! I almost never USE LaserBoy! About all I do with it is try to fix stuff or add new features and test just those aspects of the running application. I have a whole hard drive full of junk that isn't really show material. It's just test junk!

Oh well....

I'm going to spend some time writing up tutorials of how to do LaserBoy projects one "key tap" at a time!

Tap...... tap........ tap... tap.. tap......tap.....  ;D

I was glad that Dean and Andrew finally got to meet. I think between the three of us, we could wreck the world!

Flying with Laserjock was the coolest thing; better than any amusement ride, for sure! It was like we were just riding in a little car, going down the runway. There was a little bit of swaging back and forth in the wind, but no big deal. Then I noticed that the ground started moving away, out from under us! I didn't feel leaving the ground at all. He let me take the controls for a minute and it was surprisingly sensitive and responsive. That was most definitely a new experience. When we came back down, all I felt was just a little bump. I get more shook up driving my Cadillac over Akron pot holes!

As usual... OSR was there to help make sure certain things got done. He's alright! (Thanks again Steve. When are you going to join us here?)

Cool!

I think we'll start a LaserBoy Projects Step-By-Step thread.

Blinken has come up with some pretty neat stuff too.

One thing is for sure.

I will definately want to keep having Akron Basement LEM as many times as I can!

Everyone who has ever come over for one is most definately wecome to come back again!

... and then some...

I really hope this turns into a regular event that gets WAY too big for my basement!

I will post the pics of the flight as soon as I get home. Who knows when that will be. Right now were sitting in the Akron Canton Airport waiting for the next flight to Boston. We were going home to Orlando, Florida but got bumped off since we are flying standby. Now we go from Akron to Boston to Atlanta to Orlando. Keep in mind every flight we can get bumped  off if they "Over sell the flight". Thats the price for getting really cheep standby tickets.

Here are the pics of the flight. I took James first then Dr. Lava. Most of them are didn't come out very clear, but an artistic eye might like them for abstract art (James). ;D

Well.......

You can't really tell what some of those pictures are, but they look cool anyway!

I like the fact that you can see the 60Hz AC in the Sodium and Mercury vapor light trails!

Thanks for letting me use your camera and posting the pics!
