Getting together the bits
« on: November 15, 2009, 08:31:12 pm »
Well it's way past time I need to start building a solid state projector!

I just got a greenie modified for analog mod, hopefully that will work OK. It's about 70mW.

I already have a great pair of dichros and mounts and several hunks of Aluminum.

I talked to Sk8 on the phone the other day and he said he's send back my dual red assembly. So I'll need a pair of long die open can reds and an analog modulated driver for that.

Then all I really need is a BlueRay and a new pair of scanners.

James.  :)

for 6x bluray $28.99

http://modwerx.com/shop/sfaw210-6x-bluray-violet-burning-laser-diode-p-50.html

Red - safe current for these diodes is around 400ma that will give you around 220-250mw depending on the lens you use.  13.49

I'm lucky Daedal lives about 4 blocks from me. Any time I need diodes I can walk to his house.

James if you send me back your Red diode & mount I'll get them going again. I feel bad it died right after you got it. I want to make it right.

If your going to dive into solid state I would advise getting Lasorbs for each diode. It's cheep insurance against ESD.

If I had known you and daedal were close I would have ordered from him... :)

I put your red laser and the dual red assembly I got from Steve in a box and sent it to SK8.

Hopefully, I'll be getting that stuff back soon.

James.  :)

BTW That's a nice, helpful responce from everyone!

Thanks!  ;D
